If you are passionate about netball and are keen to contribute to our club, we have some exciting opportunities available.

Club President

Overview:

The President is the principal leader of the Pohutukawa Coast Netball Club and has overall responsibility for the club’s administration. They set the annual committee agenda, help prioritise goals, and ensure the committee stays on track. The President facilitates effective meetings and represents the club’s members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage committee meetings.

• Manage the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

• Represent the club at local, regional, and national levels.

• Act as a facilitator for club activities.

• Ensure planning and budgeting reflect the wishes of members.

• Ensure sponsorships align with club values and objectives.

• Work closely with the Secretary.

• Read, reply, and file correspondence promptly.

Ideal Skills & Attributes:

• Effective communicator.

• Well informed about club activities.

• Understands the club’s constitution, rules, and office-holder duties.

• Supportive and strategic leader.


Registrations Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Manage player registrations using Sporty.

• Work with Treasurer to track payments.

• Follow up unpaid fees.

• Provide trial spreadsheets for selectors.

• Serve as first contact for registration enquiries.


Future Ferns Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Year 1–4 Future Ferns programme.

• Manage registrations and payments.

• Liaise with Te Puru and Netball NZ guidelines.

• Recruit and train volunteer coaches.

• Ensure gear is prepared and stored properly.



Junior Umpire Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and communicate with junior umpires.

• Update the umpire master document in Dropbox.

• Work closely with the Umpire Delegate.



Coach Developer (Junior & College delegate)

Responsibilities:

• Mentor and support coaches throughout the season.

• Develop and deliver training material and sessions.

• Track external training and development progress.

• Work closely with the Coach Delegate, Secretary, and Treasurer.


Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Identify club needs requiring funding.

• Research and apply for appropriate grants.

• Work with committee members to align funding applications with club goals.


General Committee Member

If you are not sure how to help but would like to contribute your time, we would love to have you on board our committee or just a Friend of the committee to lend a hand when needed.


Grants Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Identify club needs requiring funding.

• Research and apply for appropriate grants.

• Work with committee members to align funding applications with club goals.


Prizegiving Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate trophy collection and engraving.

• Manage award certificates, gifts, and prize lists.

• Liaise with Te Puru for venues and logistics.

• Coordinate club events and prizegiving preparations.
